Prof. Eymann is the author of several books and more than 100 journal and conference papers, some of which were awarded as best papers. He has also worked on research projects for the European Commission, the German Federal Ministries of Science and Economics, and the German Research Foundation, among others. He has also published internationally on trustworthy control of complex and risky IT environments, especially in cloud computing and software-as-a-service, ubiquitous computing and ambient intelligence in healthcare. Since his PhD in 2000, he has been working on the topic of realization and acceptance of Distributed Artificial Intelligence technologies, especially software agents and multi-agent systems. He has visited Hitachi System Development Labs in Japan, British Telecom Labs in the UK, and the University Politecnica de Catalunya de Barcelona for extended research stays. He also organizes various workshops and conferences in information systems.
